Spicy Hoisin Sesame Corn on the Cob

No Canadian cookout is ever complete without corn on the cob. Not just any corn, but corn that combines mayo, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil for an easy-to-make meal you won’t soon forget. It’s also a great vegetarian option so no BBQ attendee gets left behind.

  • 4 cobs of corn, husk and silk removed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp Blue Dragon Hoisin Sauce
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Blue Dragon Pure Sesame Oil
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 tsp chilli flakes


  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Brush corn with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Grill corn for about 12 minutes, turning, until tender and lightly charred.
  3. Stir together Blue Dragon Hoisin Sauce, mayonnaise, Blue Dragon Sesame Oil, and paprika.
  4. Brush mixture on warm corn. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, green onions and chilli flakes.
