Ahi Tuna Lettuce Cups

Fresh and vibrant, these little lettuce cups filled with Asian flavour are a great simple starter for your next backyard BBQ. And don’t forget the pièce de résistance – topping each cup with a generous amount of refreshing pineapple salsa.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz. Ahi Tuna
  • 3 1-inch pineapple rings, grilled and cubed
  • 10 Boston Bibb lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp Blue Dragon Fish Sauce
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 finely chopped red chilli pepper
  • Juice from 1 lime
  • Blue Dragon Pure Sesame Oil, to drizzle
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Toss pineapple, cucumber, lime juice, and honey in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
  2. Place tuna, Blue Dragon Fish Sauce, vegetable oil, salt and pepper in a reusable plastic bag and seal. Let marinate in fridge for 1 hour.
  3. Grill marinated tuna for 2 minutes on each side at 450°F. Let rest for 5 minutes, and slice thinly.
  4. Stack two lettuce leaves. Top with pineapple salsa, two strips of tuna, green onion, chilli pepper, salt, and pepper. Lightly drizzle with Blue Dragon Pure Sesame Oil.
